Electrical Inspection, Testing and Certification
Boyle Energy’s electrical testing service provides the capability to support domestic property owners, landlords as well as small businesses through to large scale companies with their periodic inspection and testing (fixed wire testing) requirements.
As stated in The Electricity at Work Act, 1989, all electrical systems and equipment should be in a safe condition.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommend that in order to comply with the regulations, an electrical inspection and testing routine shall be undertaken at all places of work. The electrical installations shall be tested regularly enough so as the chance of danger caused by deterioration is kept to a minimum. This similarly is the position for landlords as sections 13(4a) and 19B(4) of the Housings (Scotland) Act 2006 require installations to be tested at a period of no longer than five years or at the beginning of a new tenancy.
Although testing in these instances is mandatory, it is also a very useful tool for private homeowners and potential property buyers to get an insight into the condition of the ‘behind the scenes wiring’.
Boyle Energy are fully certified by the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors) and as such are regularly assessed to ensure that we are performing our electrical testing and inspections to the absolute highest of standards. Along with this, Boyle Energy have the most up to date calibrated test equipment and logging devices allowing the process to be carried out as smoothly and accurately as possible.
